LA ISA CONTINÚA EL EMPUJE DEL DESARROLLO DEL SURFING GLOBALMENTE CON MÁS DE 1.500 INSTRUCTORES CERTIFICADOS EN 2015

La International Surfing Association [ISA] continúa empujando el desarrollo global del Surfing y StandUp Paddle [SUP] con la certificación de más de 1.500 instructores en 150 Cursos Educacionales de la ISA, los cuales tuvieron lugar a través de 35 países en 2015.
Se espera mayor desarrollo durante 2016 con 200 cursos a través de 40 países que tienen la meta de certificar a 2.000 instructores más. En total, más de 5.000 instructores han sido certificados por la ISA.
El Programa de Instrucción de la ISA es diseñado para establecer normas de seguridad, calidad y eficacia para instructores de surf y SUP alrededor del mundo. Los cursos pretenden desarrollar las habilidades y conocimiento de individuos quienes desean aprender la instrucción del Surfing en una manera científica. Con énfasis en la gestión de riesgos, la obligación de cuidar y la seguridad en el mar, el Programa de Instrucción crea un ambiente más seguro para aprender el deporte.
Impulsado por una estrategia basada en el crecimiento y desarrollo del Surfing globalmente, la ISA ha trabajado duro para desarrollar el deporte en mercados no tradicionales – un enfoque reflejado por el rango diverso de países que han acogido Cursos Educacionales de la ISA en los últimos años.
La expansión global de los Cursos Educacionales de la ISA refleja el crecimiento del Surfing en China, donde la Isla de Hainan se ha convertido en el centro del deporte, recibiendo nueve Cursos Educacionales de la ISA desde 2013. Rusia también recibió su primer Curso Educacional de la ISA en 2015, realizado en Lago Ladoga – el lago más grande de Europa.
Agregando al crecimiento en mercados no tradicionales, el programa de 2016 se enfocará en regiones conocidas por el Surfing, tales como Indonesia y los Estados Unidos. En 2015 el Simposio de Instructores de Surf de la ISA, un logro para el desarrollo de estándares para instructores de surf, se llevó a cabo en Bali, Indonesia y se realizará otra vez en mayo de 2016. En los Estados Unidos la ISA se ha asociado con Surf Educational Academy para aumentar la cantidad de cursos ofrecidos en el país.

ISA CONTINUES TO DRIVE THE DEVELOPMENT OF SURFING GLOBALLY WITH MORE THAN 1,500 INSTRUCTORS CERTIFIED DURING 2015
Further significant development is also expected during 2016 with 200 courses across 40 countries already underway or planned with a target of certifying a further 2,000 instructors. Overall, more than 5,000 instructors have been certified by the ISA.
The ISA Coaching and Instructing Programme is designed to establish an industry standard of safety, quality and efficacy for surf and SUP coaches and instructors around the world. The courses aim to develop the skills, knowledge and abilities of individuals who wish to take a scientific approach to the coaching of Surfing. With emphasis on risk management, duty of care and water safety, the ISA Coaching and Instructing Programme creates a safer environment to learn the sport.
Driven by a strategy underpinned by the growth and development of Surfing worldwide, the ISA has worked hard to develop the sport in non-traditional markets – an approach reflected by the diverse range of countries that have hosted ISA Educational Courses in recent years.
The worldwide expansion of the ISA Educational Courses mirrors the growth of the Surfing in China, where Hainan Island has become a central hub hosting nine courses since 2013. Russia also held its first ISA Educational Course in 2015, carried out on Lake Ladoga – the largest lake in Europe.
Building on the growth and development in non-traditional markets, the 2016 programme will also focus on major Surfing regions such as Indonesia and the United States. In 2015 the ISA International Surf Instructor Symposium, a milestone for the development of surf instructor standards, took place in Bali, Indonesia, and is set to happen again in May 2016. In the United States the ISA has partnered with the Surf Education Academy to increase the amount of courses offered in the country.
